Movie Review
This film is very interesting. The Meg is a unique combination of monster themes, adrenaline-inducing action scenes, gripping terror, and humor in every scene.

For a film with a production cost of 150 million dollars, visually The Meg managed to meet expectations. Indeed, there are several scenes where the computer effects are very visible. But, everything is displayed very neatly. Especially with action scenes which make the effects look even more awesome.

There is another thing that makes this film so entertaining, namely its illogic. In fact, the levels can be said to be limitless. Even though it feels far-fetched, that's what makes it all feel epic because the viewer will feel annoyed when watch it.

There is something unique in this film in terms of characterization. The Meg uses a characterization formula that is not much different from monster-themed films in general. There is a macho main hero, a beautiful girl, an innocent boy, a talkative guy, an intelligent guy, and a silly character who is always wronged. Even though it has been read, this formula has proven successful in keeping the audience entertained.

Overall, this film is full of clichés.There are some scenes that feel disturbing. However, there are also scenes where the level of cliche goes too far to the point where the audience laughs. This is what makes The Meg so entertaining.
